Use sampling to evaluate capability
Treat the sample as a technical and commercial test, not only a visual approval. Review measurements, balance, support, lining, closures, hem level, embellishment attachment and the way the garment performs when worn.
Record every requested change and ask the factory to confirm how it will be applied in production. A reliable approval trail should identify the final fabric, color, trims, measurements and workmanship standard rather than depending on informal messages.

Compare quotations on the same specification
A low quotation may reflect a different fabric, lining, decoration technique, packaging scope or quantity assumption. Give shortlisted factories the same style information and ask them to identify any exclusions or alternatives before comparing prices.

Review quality control and production communication
Ask when materials, measurements, workmanship and packing are checked, who records problems and how corrective action is handled. The process should protect the approved specification while still escalating any unavoidable material or construction change to the buyer.
Agree on production updates and approval contacts before the order begins. Clear responsibilities reduce delays when the team needs a decision on color, trim placement, fit tolerance or packaging information.

Plan compliance, shipping and the first order
The importer should define destination-country labeling, testing, product-information and documentation requirements before production. Share approved label artwork, packaging instructions and shipping responsibilities as part of the order specification.
For a first order, choose a focused assortment that provides enough evidence about communication, sample control, production consistency and delivery performance. Evaluate the complete process before expanding the number of styles or colorways.
